My Personal Writing Process Essay How does one make an essay? My writing process is extremely simple.A basic version of my own personal writing process can be summed up by breaking it down into three basic parts, the pre-write, the actual writing process, and then the post-write. The first part of my writing process is the pre-write.During the pre-write I first start summing up ideas on the topics I want to talk about. For instance if I am going to be writing a five paragraph essay I start by choosing three topic areas to which I can make the subjects of the body paragraphs.Once I have these areas, I then decide how to open the essay (the introduction paragraph).Often times this is the hardest part for me because I don’t know what to put in for the background.Once I have all of this, preferably written down, I am ready to start the actual essay. The next, and most noticeable part of the essay is obviously the writing of the actual essay.During this time I actually write the essay.During this time I’m not only writing the essay however, I am also doing an extremely fast brainstorm in my head on what I’m going to say/include in my essay. This is the most time consuming part of the essay but also the most obvious and maybe the easiest part of the essay creating process. The final part of my essay writing process is the post-write.During this time I reread what I just wrote to see if it makes sense to me.Often times this isn’t enough because some things that I write make sense to me but not to others. For this reason, I try to have a parent or someone read over everything and tell me and give me input on how to better my writing. Then I go back and make the necessary changes and corrections to make the essay grammatically correct. Then I print out my essay and turn it in when it’s due. My personal writing process is extremely easy and straightforward for me to use.Writing an essay isn’t very fun but it isn’t very hard to do either.
